Action AllStars is a new virtual world where you can create an Action AllStars Athlete, roam the Action AllStars World, and get involved in tons of your favorite sports and games.

A problem that all parents have when dealing with their children and interaction with the Internet is how to protect my child when the Internet is an open gateway to my child’s mind. With that in mind I present Action Allstars a sports themed virtual environment. This game was created for young children ages six to fourteen with safeguards to try and protect children from online hazards. Action Allstars is not only a protected environment for youth to interact, but it is also a very entertaining and clean gaming experience. Six Degrees Games has created an ideal environment that parents can be at ease about.

The biggest and in my opinion the most important feature in this game is the Safe Chat feature that it provides. Here is a description from the website:

Safe Chat allows Athletes to type messages to other users. Each message is filtered prior to being transmitted to allow for pre-approved words and phrases to be used, and to block attempts to send non-approved words, phrases, phone numbers, or other personal information.

And if that is not enough protection for you there is the Safe Chat Plus that you can select for your child. Here is the description of that:

Safe Chat Plus restricts what Athletes can say to each other by using a predefined set of choices, including: general statements, greetings, and questions. When it comes to conversations, these users can only view messages sent by other Safe Chat Plus users.

Speaking in terms of securing your child’s presence on the web this feature is a big plus. Another safety measure is that children that sign up must provide a parent email address before signing up. A notification is sent to the parent that their child has signed up. Parents can also create a parent account and log in and change the chat settings or delete the account. Some may say there is a backdoor here. The child could use his or her own email address to sign up as the parent. True, but all accounts are filtered through Safe Chat, and their activities are being monitored by Action Allstar moderators. I’m not saying that it is impossible for something not to happen on this site, but a lot of work has been done to greatly reduce the possibility of anything happening.

The overall theme of the Action Allstars world is sports. You have the major 3 baseball, basketball, and American football. Thrown in the mix is snow boarding and surfing. Starting from a world map you can choose which area you would like to go to. Each sports themed area has lobbies to interact with other athletes, shops to buy items related to the sport, and games related to the sport. Each player is also given a room they can decorate and invite others to join them in. The entire world of Action Allstars looks like a Saturday morning cartoon. From characters, to places, to the games themselves. Visually this is very appealing to younger children. It a playful happy place that parents can be happy about.

This website is wonderful! My children are big fans and i watch while they play, the only problem is kids (could be adults, u never know) pretend to date other children, that is my only problem, i dont think my kids will date though so i have decided to chill while they play.
