Sure, the game is glitchy, and sure there is lag everywhere along with generally poor servers, but what do you really expect with a free game? Okay, so maybe not so much on the glitchy side, they can work on that, but can they really do much about buying new servers, etc.? I mean, how much do these guys make anyways?

Basically this game does what meth did for the olsen twins.

Seems like it has alot but all it really does is troll you along with the community...

Think /b/ but in a game.

If you enjoy packet loss, server crashs, shitty coding, glitches that have become apart of the game play more then the skills, and that the gameplay is so damn repetitive that nothing ever new happens,
and you get ACE/AIRRIVALS

Have a Nice Day.

For a breif second I thought this was a troll, "Hidden gem of the internet?" As Reno says the engine is horrible, GMs are Lazy bastards, the dev team needs to allow GPU Support, and, how about, some nice events for the players who have dripped, sweat blood and tears for the past 2 years for this game, for its amazing PVP, but HORRIBLE HORRIBLE coding, To those who have stayed loyal to this game, My hats off to you, Keep strong, Keep strong, Maybe one day the devs will show some appriciation for us

Hahahahah this game isn't repeatable? LOL! Also, "hidden gem of the internet"? Jajajajajajajaja the game engine is so terrible even a 3.6GHz Core 2 CPU lags to hell and back, GPU usage is 0%, eats RAM like hell.

Though the game story/plot/whatever is great, the game needs caring devs, game engine update (PLEASE!!), publishers that care, events, and everything else I can't think of.

Hate to burst the bubble, but...

Oh God the grind. Furthermore, there is a sickening rock paper scissors mechanic going on here. A-gears destroy I-gears that don't have a zillion points in evasion (and even then), B-gears one-shot A-gears without their impenetrable shield on, and I-gears if flown correctly are untouchable by B-gears.

Furthermore, at high level, the grind just becomes exponentially intolerable. Essentially, to reach the final level, which actually has its uses to wear the last versions of some armors/use some weapons, it takes about a year of 8-hours a day grinding.

Contrast this to World of Warcraft (never played that due to pay per month) in which players get multiple level 80 characters.

Furthermore, item breaks are extremely frustrating. The idea that someone got lucky on gambling a gamebreaking weapon or armor while yours went bust is maddening.

Aside from the item and grinding issues, the game is basically as good as you can hope for. That said, with those two issues, it's a massive time sink.

Imagine the adrenaline pumpingness of Super smash Bros Melee, the great community features of Maple Story, and the graphics of Crysis, and you would have Ace Online (some exaggerations have been presented).
The PvE gets boring after a while, but the PvP is always interesting, especially if you and friends play at the same time. There are Motherships, Strategic Points and Advance Bases to fight over. It's like your dream to fly come true.

Ace Online was a game I stumbled onto by accident while looking for a text-based RTS. Within an hour of discovering it I was flying through the skies in my Gear, blasting away at my enemies and forgetting everything else in the world (including my homework).
Ace Online provides an immense battle grounds where pilots can match their skills in aerial dogfights. True skill is needed here, as pilots are actually flying and shooting- there's no auto-hit function here like in most RPG's, it's all about speed and skill.
The planes you fly are beautiful, and can be upgraded continuously as you progress through your levels (which can take quite some time!) Players will be gratified to know that there are a huge amount of weapons to continually find, and a constant slew of missions to help them level up and gain money to maintain their ship.
This game is free to play, and with a little money you can add a few benefits, so I highly recommend giving it a shot. Mac users beware, you must use VMWare Fusion to install it through windows, Crossover will not work!

If u like massive wars throughout the day, Aceonline is the place to be.

Strategic points, Motherships and advance base wars are the main events of the game where both nation will clash together to fight or defend for it. Leading, skills, levels, numbers and teamwork are important in this game.

You will need a leader that is willing and able to lead to win. Any wrong decision by a leader can lead to heavy casualties to his nation and thus losing the war.

Combat skill is also important in the game. No point having a high level gear but being unable to pilot it properly causing you to be killed faster than usual and not able to contribute much in the war. And the higher your level, the better skills for the gear you have and the better equips you have and stats.

In wars, the greater the numbers on your side of nation, the higher the chance of winning the war. But teamwork and good leading still have to be counted into this numbers. Without them, a coordinated attack could overwhelm the great numbers.

So join Aceonline for some massive kickass war.

If your looking for a "PVP based" game, than this just might be what your looking for. Ace online is a flight sim third-person shooter mmo with role play elements (leveling system) that has been out for over 4+ years, and is hosted in several countries starting in Korea and spreading through Germany and for this version, North America (Toronto, Canada). Ace online is a 2 faction game based on competing for supremacy over one another. Each faction has its own map chain leading up to neutral maps between the 2 capital cities where most wars take place, but can still happen on any map in the world. Players of the same nation can create flight brigades which are similar to "guilds" in other games and compete for kill count and advance base control which are some of the many features within the game.

A few key features within the game are that its completely FREE! with an optional cash shop if you so chose to put money into the game. There are 4 fully customizable gear types with their own individual skill sets and a large set of weapons ranging from 1 - 100. Maps ranging from pleasant scenic views on the planet to vast open darkness of space. Boss hunting and monster farming to find minerals, weapons and more to help you level up. Working together by creating brigades and formations to help during wars of all sizes, from skirmishes, to base wars, to the ultimate war events; Mothership Wars. Arena matches from 1 versus 1, up to 12 versus 12. Great graphics, music and easy game play considering the amount of time this game has been out.

If you'd like to know more, check out ace.subagames.com for more info. They have a great community with a lot of helpful players that don't mind helping out new folks on their way to becoming one of the best pilots around.
